What is Spirit Releasement?

Spirit Releasement is a technique used to assist a spirit to release him or herself from this "earthly" plane and move onto the light or "heavenly" plane.

Unfortunately, not all people pass on and cross over to the other-side when the time comes. It is disheartening but true that some people when they pass on may not actually realize that they have transitioned. Basically they do not realize that they have passed on. 

This can happen for several different reasons. Usually when the person has died and their passing was unexpected or quick, or if they feel that they need to assist someone or complete/take-care of a situation first. 

Many times it is because the spirit is in fear. The fear may be that they will not go to "heaven", they may have a fear that they will be turned away from the "Pearly Gates." 

Other reasons may include those of us still here on earth, because our love, hence our sorrow or grief may be so deep and we are the one's who are so unwilling to let go of that person, the deceased person may feel that they need to stay by their loved one side to protect them or to be near them "Just in case."

There are many more reasons as to why a deceased person decides to stay, or for what ever reason does not move on. 

Some religions believe that sometimes it is negative energies "possessing" a person or thing, I have a difficult time agreeing with this theory.

Here's why...

We are people, here on earth our spirits inherit a body, so when we die our bodies are no longer encasing our souls, our spirits, so our soul/spirit crosses over to move on with their journey. 

Some spirits need to learn more than others, some learn faster, some slower, just like earth.  And the bottom line is this ~ If we were kind and generous in our earthly life, chances are we aren't going to be much different when on the other side.

The same is true if we were uptight and cranky. All though my experience has led me to believe that once we cross over we no longer have the human faults attached to us that we did while we were alive on earth, leaving us to be a much more kinder, more gentle spirit.  That’s only my theory, but it is what makes the most sense to me. I think that it is important here to also say that if you were a "not-so-nice" person here on earth, intentionally hurting others, when you die you may be a bit more concerned as to whether or not you will be accepted on the other side, based on the teachings of some religions, you may think that based on what actions you took you may be going to where the sun not only doesn't set, but its burning a hole in your backside…you get the drift. 

That spirit may need some convincing and reassurance that its safe and love is waiting for them too. I need to add that I also believe those folks, once they have crossed over, are probably required to take a few extra classes on "How To Love Right", "Don't Talk to Your Mother With That Mouth" as well as "Kindness 101" once they've crossed over to the other-side!

So, with all of that being said, Spirit Releasement is sometimes necessary to help our loved ones, and some "Not-so-Loved Ones" cross over.
